About Prism

Prism is an independent educational website that teaches programming, from the first line of code to the systems ideas senior engineers rely on. Our lessons are written to be accurate, concrete, and free of marketing noise — practical knowledge you can apply the same day.

What we cover

Our curriculum is organized into three levels. Beginner lessons cover what programming is, variables, control flow, functions, and debugging. Intermediate lessons cover data structures, APIs, databases, and testing. Advanced lessons cover algorithm complexity, concurrency, memory management, and system design.

Our approach

Every lesson follows a consistent structure: what a concept is, why it matters, how it works, a worked example, common mistakes, and practice guidance. Examples are language-agnostic where possible, with short runnable snippets where they help.

Editorial independence

Prism is independently written and edited. We do not accept paid content that influences what we teach. Where third-party advertising appears, it is clearly separated from our editorial content.
